Part of Slagelse Community is also Sprogø, the tiny island with the striking lighthouse out in the middle of the Great Belt.

The island is often crossed by the Great Belt Link, but there is no public access to the island. Well, maybe! A few times a year Visit Southwest Zealand organises coach trips to the island, which has a fascinating history and has so often been the arena for dramas both known and less known. The trips are held in Danish only.
